When we last saw Hollywood Undead they had just embarked on their tour in support of Notes From The Underground. The short run in January consisted of intimate, small club tour dates in order to promote their album, as well as share a special experience with their fans. At that time the album had only been out for a little over a week.
Now, 5 months later and with a peak position of number 2 on the album charts, Hollywood Undead rolled into Boston for another show supporting Notes From The Underground.
As all Hollywood Undead shows do, things kicked off with their unofficial anthem “Undead." With three albums worth of material to choose from, Hollywood Undead did an exceptional job of spreading out the songs that represent each era of the band.
Most notable of the new tour setlist was the addition of several new songs. After only playing three on the first leg of the tour – “Dead Bite," “We Are," and “Another Way Out” – The Undead added four tracks from their latest release, “Kill Everyone," “From The Ground,” “Delish,” and “Up In Smoke."
All four tracks sounded superb, and after waiting so long to put them into their set, fans had some time to learn the words and be ready to sing along. The rest of the night's setlist was standard as it is with most of their live shows, with “Everywhere I Go” kicking off the encore and “We Are” closing the show.
Hollywood Undead continue to put on one hell of a fun live performance. Having seen them for a fifth time I can say that they stack up against even some of the most prestigious legends in how good of a time you can have at their shows. They make you feel like you belong, feel included, give you chances to rock out, to laugh, and to dance like a fool and embarrass yourself while having the time of your life.
