Otherwise Headline Hartford's Webster Underground

Vegas boys Otherwise came to Hartford's Webster Underground last night for their first ever headlining show in the state. Fresh off of huge national tours with Stone Sour and Papa Roach, and 3 Doors Down and Daughtry, Otherwise have blown up on the rock scene over the last year with their singles "Soldiers" and "I Don't Apologize (1,000 Pictures)" receiving a huge amount of airplay on rock radio.
The band's full length headlining set was a treat for CT fans following their shorter set time at WCCC's Christmas Chaos show back in December. From the instant they stepped on

stage, the band had their dedicated "wise ones" screaming along and loving every second. "Die For You" set the stage for what was to come--unbelievably high energy and heavy guitar and drums that shook the Webster from start to finish.
Singer Adrian Patrick allowed a few seconds for fans to catch their breath between songs, chatting to the audience as if he were simply playing some music for a group of friends. The intimate and relaxed atmosphere truly showcased the band's talent and love for what they do. Patrick also invited fans to grab a drink with him after the show and celebrate drummer Corky Gainsford's birthday, the next in line in a full month of birthdays for the band.
Playing their debut album "True Love Never Dies" in its entirety, we got to hear Otherwise's diverse range of songs, from  rock ballad "Heaven" to  party anthem "Vegas Girl". 

"Heaven" had lighters and lighter IPhone apps swaying in the air as the band showed us their softer side, dedicating the song to those that were lost too soon. "Vegas Girl" amped up the crowd, with everyone bouncing along with the catchy riffs from guitarists Andrew Pugh and Ryan Patrick.
Heavier track "Full Circle" was another highlight of the night, with drums you can't help but headbang to accompanied by powerfully inspirational lyrics,"There's no way it's taking me, taking me alive. Cause I still believe, inside of me, There's someone not unspoken, someone not so broken."
Not surprisingly, Otherwise finished off the night with their hit "Soldiers". Patrick dedicated the song to everyone, whether military or civilian, describing the song as an anthem for anyone that is fighting for something in life. The audience loved every second of the song, clapping in time with the drums as the track began to pick up, and going absolutely insane when the chorus hit. Patrick jumped down to the floor midway through the song, holding the mic out for others to sing as he rocked out with the crowd.
At the end of the night the guys stuck to their word and hung around to meet each and every fan, taking pictures, signing autographs, and chatting with whoever wanted to chat. Their amazing stage presence and love for what they do makes it impossible to leave an Otherwise show without a smile plastered on your face.
