90's Alternative Rockers Buckcherry and Lit Rock Union Station

Hartford got all lit up on Friday when 90's favorites Buckcherry and Lit played The Great Hall at Union Station. Despite the fact that the show was literally in the hallway of a train station, the energy in the crowd was huge.
First up was Lit, a band I had honestly forgotten about years after the release of 'My Own Worst Enemy' and 'Miserable'.  Following a long break and dealing with the loss of the band's drummer to cancer, Lit are back and stronger than ever. Their passion for the music is evident in their live show. After a solid set of new songs that I was treated to hearing for the first time, the band closed with 'My Own Worst Enemy', bringing back nostalgic memories of my angst-filled middle school days. Not a single person in the audience was quiet for this one, save for a few teenagers that were likely not rocking out to Lit when they were five.
Buckcherry are one of the few bands that never fail to put on an incredible show. Singer Josh Todd dances around the stageshirtless and covered in tattoos, almost making us forget that he isn't 20 anymore. Tracks like  'Lit Up' and 'It's a Party' kicked off the weekend on a high note, and ballad 'Sorry' allowed a few minutes to catch a few gulps of air as Todd serenaded us. Of course, no Buckcherry show would be complete without 'Crazy Bitch'. After a solid hour of fans shouting out requests for the track, the band finally finished off their set, leaving us all wanting more.
